History

The company started in the firewood business in 2005 as Twin City Firewood located on Twin City Crossroads just north of Arthur Street in Thunder Bay. In 2014, we had to move and at that time we sold because we wanted to downsize. After years of searching we finally found a good processing facility so we are back in business.

We serve the Thunder Bay district and have delivered as far east as Marathon, Schrieber and Terrace Bay and west as far as Atikokan.

What we do

We mostly sell split and seasoned birch firewood. But we also handle other varieties of wood such as cedar, tamarack or black ash. We cut our firewood to 16" lengths but custom lengths will be considered for large loads.

Our wood is normally sitting in the bush for 6-8 months before we pick it up and can sit processed for at least 3-6 months. So the wood is dry but sitting outside in the elements means that the moisture content is between 15-20%

We can also sell you full length logs if you prefer to cut and split on your own.

U Pickup or delivery

We offer delivery or U pickup. Our facility is available during normal business hours (9:00 am to 5:00 pm) Monday to Saturday.

For smaller loads of 1 or 2 cords of split firewood, we use a 5 ton dump truck. We can deliver up to 80 kms from Thunder Bay and in most cases can get it right where you need it.

For full log loads, you can pick them up or we can deliver them using our fleet of 3 self-loading/unloading trucks.
